From project Incharge's Pen

It gives me immense pleasure to extend my warm wishes to the newly created website developed especially for the international collaborative project USA – India Partnership 2020 on Promoting Women’s Family-based Entrepreneurship in West Bengal funded by the Claflin University, USA. The project is a collaboration between Claflin University and Visva Bharati University . The project will address the small business development needs of women and their family members who work with them. The choice of the state of West Bengal is justifiable because the state government of West Bengal is currently promoting entrepreneurship with Startup Bengal. The project activities will benefit the state of West Bengal in India to augment women’s entrepreneurship. The training programs on different entrepreneurship will have tangible impacts on job creation and entrepreneurship. The project will also contribute to expanding academic research on entrepreneurship among faculty and students in both institutions. No income is expected from this project for the partnering universities. I am confident about the success of the project to meet the need of the future entrepreneurs of the two countries. Best Wishes!
